ugh... pregnant frustrations!

So I'm not sure if its the fact that I'm pregnant or not but I definately feel like I am being tested in these last couple weeks. Maybe God is giving me hard skin or something. So many little things seem to be challenging me that never have before in my life! I had my first extremely difficult client that I needed to stand up for myself for the first time, mean insurance people, overbearing pregnancy stories, and more! Corey feels the same way, so I think all our thanks prayers coming back to bite us! I hope we are passing our tests Lord! We are trying!

Week Five: Size of an Appleseed!

I turned five weeks on friday and I went to Lubbock with my mom and sister. We had so much fun shopping at Holiday Happenings! I still feel really good, except I had really bad cramps on friday night that kept me up. It made me worried because I got the swine flu vaccination that day. My doctor said I ABSOLUTELY HAD TO GET IT so I called Aldis (my cousins wife who is pregnant) and asked what she did. She said to get it but make sure to ask for the one without mercury in it. Well my doctor is a punk and gave me the one with mercury. I'm not comfortable with that for three reasons:

  1. The shot has not been out long enough to know if my baby will be born with three arms. Corey said then he could be good at sports, but I don't think I'm ok with this!

  2. They tell pregnant women to not eat seafood because it contains mercury, why do they put it in shots then?

  3. It has been linked to autism, which is in my family and really makes me worried.

So I was praying my head off trying to get through the night with cramps. I had no other symptoms so I really shouldn't have been worried, but I just want our baby to be safe! I read that it could because he is trying to find a home and moving around in my uterus. It makes sense that that could happen then! Other than cramps, really don't have any large symptoms. I am pretty tired and my clock seems to be a little off! I get up at seven everyday and go to sleep at nine! It must be God preparing me for having a baby!

Daunting Ticker...

Looking at the baby ticker makes me realize HOW LONG it will be till our little one gets here! I heard it goes really fast, but right now it seems like it will be forever! I feel like we need this nine/ten months to get ready though. I have a room to decorate! Not to mention who knows if we'll be living in this house in July of 2010!

I think I'm going to wait until I start showing until I start the weekly pictures, which will hopefully not be for 4 more months! I have a million pictures of me not showing in my life! This is the first day I have felt really tired. I feel exhausted. Some one could tell me i ran a marathon today and I could possible believe them! It will only get worse for the next couple weeks before it gets better!

Sittin Here Waiting on Two Pink Lines!

On October 13, 2009, I decided to stop and buy a pregnancy test. I was feeling kind of funny for the past couple days and even though I wasn’t supposed to start my period for a few more days, I thought I would try it! So I came home and was really expecting to see only one pink line. At first, only one came up... then the second came up slowly! It was still pretty light so I didn’t really believe it.

I have always told Corey that I was going to surprise him when I found out I was pregnant. I think it’s only fair that he got surprise me when proposing so I should get to surprise him with another big thing in our life. His birthday is on the eighteenth, so I thought if it was positive, I’d tell him then. Then my cousin Brent came over for me to cut his hair and I decided to tell him thinking it would make it more real! He helped me think about how I would tell Corey. That night we went over to Shelby and Carl’s to play some games. I tried so hard to keep it in! I ended up whispering it to Shelby as we were leaving. The next morning she called me and I explained it all. It still didn’t feel real. I went for a run with my dad, and then went to Target to buy a few baby things to surprise Corey. I came home and took a digital test that immediately came up “PREGNANT”! I ran around the house so excited! I knew I wouldn’t be able to keep it from Corey, so I got his present together. When he got home from work, I had him open his present. He was so excited and I cried! We are so excited to have a baby and be a family of three!!

This is the present I gave him

The only signs I can tell so far, are definitely my sense of smell, and the throbbing in my belly. I read that when the baby is developing, all the blood rushes to the baby so it throbs. I can hear my heart beat all the time! We were trying to conceive for one month and got pregnant!  Corey thought I might be because I made raviolis one night and was obsessive about how amazing they were! He was like, “You must be pregnant because these are just raviolis!”  I’m a little nervous about being a great parent! I want you to feel as much love as you can stand! I hope we can give you a great life!

Today was the day we told our families we are having a baby! We went over to my parents house for Corey’s birthday and showed my parents the present I got Corey. They were so happy and of coarse cried! Then we told the rest of the family as they came over. Corey wasn’t planning on telling his parents until next weekend when he went to Clovis, but neither of us could stand holding it in so we called and told them! For now, we are just so excited and praying for a healthy baby and heartbeat!

We just went to Wal-Mart and Corey is trying to be really practical and we bought diapers already! It’s so crazy! It doesn’t feel real at all yet, but we are stoked to be parents! Thinking of having a mini Corey gives me the biggest butterflies ever! We feel so blessed!

After I told Corey, we went to the movies

The Facts:

How I’m Feeling:

Emotionally I feel great! I have tons of energy and I am so excited! I couldn’t feel better!

Physically I feel hungry! My stomach continuously moves and rumbles! I haven’t been sick or really tired yet so we’ll see if/when that happens!

We went to a movie to celebrate! Brent and Shelby knew first, then the family and close friends. We are waiting until week 11 to tell everyone else.
Foods that make me queasy are rich, thick, savory foods.

I’m Craving fruits and light meals

I’m Hoping to only gain twenty five pounds and stay very healthy and active throughout!

Yesterday was not so good. I had an appointment with my normal gynecologist to make sure I was pregnant. I think there were quite a few things that played into a terrible office experience:
  • nurse didn’t realize how excited I am about being pregnant and maybe thought that I was a random girl who wasn’t married
  • most people don’t see their doctors until they are farther along so their bodies are higher in hormone levels
  • I already feel like I am pregnant with a little person inside of me
So what happened was I got there and gave a urine sample. The tests weren’t coming up extremely positive and the extremely insensitive nurse said I could possibly not be pregnant. When I told her that I took two tests at home that came up positive, she just said, “Hmm.” She took my blood and then left the room for fifteen minutes while I was freaking out! I texted Corey and almost lost in completely. Then the doctor came in and told me congratulations. I asked her about the two tests and she said they came up light because it was so early, but I still have to go get blood drawn every other day from a lab. She gave me a due date of July 24, 2010. Even though the doctor apt went well, it still make me depressed the whole day. My hopes are already up. I am already excited about having a little person. People who have a miscarriage deserve medals because I am already so in love with the little guy in my tummy! We are saying lots of prayers for Baby Bell!

LIFE... according to me

So right now my life feels extremely strange!! I was going to beauty school at one school and now I have a month off before the new school I'm transferring to opens. So I basically have one month to just relax and hang out before my life gets completely crazy again!! I'm talking 8-7 EVERY DAY!!! I'm not used to a schedule like that! So right now you would think I would be enjoying my time off... not! Instead I am completely bored! For the past 16 years of my life I have always had something to do. In college, I always had something to be studying for class and if not, definately studying for my Dental Admissions Test. Now my house just has to stay clean and laundry needs to be done, I have to be a work on time, and other than that I have been filling my time with the internet!! A big problem is I totally have:

Baby on the Brain!

I have been obsessing!! Three of my volleyball girls from high school are now pregnant and I've been married longer than all of them! So I need to get busy so I'll quit thinking of cute names, room ideas, and i'll stay out of the baby aisle of target! I have about two weeks to get everything together for my new school and until them, my brain will be running a million miles an hour! Wish me luck!

Family... The Greatest Blessing!!

Today was a GREAT day! I woke up this morning and did Pilates while Corey slept in. Then we picked up my sister and neice and went to church with my mom.  After an amazing message that always is EXACTLY what I need to hear, it seemed to set the tone for the rest of the day! My sister, mom, neice and I went to eat at Flying Star and I got to each my favorite salad ever for lunch!!! We then went on the "Ohh La La" home tour that benefits wounded sodiers and send backpacks to troops. #1, it was a great feeling to give a tiny bit back to men and women that put thier lives on the line for us everyday. I am forever grateful to any soldier! #2, the homes were pretty dang incredible! I love looking at amazing homes! They give me ideas for my in-the-very-far future homes! Then we all went back to my parents (like we do every sunday) and cooked for the husbands and my nephew. We watched football and went on a long walk/run/random sprints. It's days like this that make me miss all the family we don't have here, but also feel so incredibly grateful for all the people that love us and we love them! I do believe that the greatest blessing are family blessings! God is so great!

FITsisters Here We Come!!

So I had a huge awakening this week.  I saw a good friend from high school on Monday and she looked really good! She caught me up on all our old volleyball friends lives and how they all look great too.... I then realized I think I am the only one on our volleyball team that has gained weight since high school. Not cool. She told me that she runs bootcamp style workouts with all the workouts we did from high school. She gets paid to work them out while also working out. Awesome right?

Since high school, I have gone through workout roller coasters. I gain weight, get extremely motivated, get into shape, get busy, lose motivation, gain weight, over and over again!! I get so frustrated with this because I come from an extremely active family, yet I never feel like my body looks like it should!! I have always said that I would want to be a personal trainer and teach the workouts that my psycho high school coach taught us. So after seeing Jess, my sister was like, "Why don't you do it?"

So my sister and I have put together a plan and we are going to go through the bootcamp on our own first (no one wants to get taught by a fatty). Then we want to start a bootcamp around January. I am so excited because if nothing else, I'll get a great workout even if no one wants to come! So here is my motivation picture of my dream belly!!

Especially if we want to have babies soon, I HAVE GOT TO GET INTO SHAPE!! I know how to be in shape, I have just got to do it! Running every other day is not working right now. I'm in a plateau, so I've got to get in gear and get going!

New Bloggers!

So I am going to try out this whole blogging world! So far all it has done for me is make me feel like a total technology dork, but I feel like it is a great way for people to keep in touch with our life! So let me tell you a little about the Bells:

We started dating in 2003 when Corey's best friend, Kevin, introduced us at a national judging competition in Denver, Colorado. Our lives were upside down from then on! We went to college at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where we met some AMAZING friends! I do think that when you go out of state to school and you are away from your family, your friends are more of your family than friends. We got engaged my sophomore year of college and married my junior year. I truly believe that I married my soul mate! We have a certain special relationship in which we love every second we have with each other and never take it for granted! We are probably one of the mushiest couples ever, but I lvoe it! After many years of planning to go to dental school, my plans turned around my senior year. We decided to come to Albuquerque for a while. Now that we're here, I realize this is where we were supposed to be the whole time! My family is here; my sister has two beautiful babies (Mason Baer and McKenna Shea) and my parents are not too far away! I work for my mom and sister and Corey works for my dad. We are so excited to see where life is bringing us, because as of right now, we have no idea where that is!!!

So we'll see how this whole blogging thing works to see if I can understand it! Here are some picture of us on our wedding day:
