CHRISTMAS 2009

So this was my first christmas away from my family and it wasn't what I expected! Since I have basically been in the Bell family for about seven years, it really felt like my own family (which they are!). We drove to Clovis on Wednesday night and just got home today. It was so great to be in Clovis. I really do love that town so much. It is so simple and I love being around Corey's family! We haven't had four days there in a long time and it was really relaxing! It was strange not having Mason or McKenna there and very very quiet! It will be our last quiet Christmas! We got home today and had christmas with my family and it was great!

We definately got really spoiled with Christmas presents! Lots of amazing gifts from everyone! Here is a picture of our new outstanding snuggies!!!

We got a few things for the baby and it made it feel really real! My belly is actually starting to show a little bit so I think belly pics might be starting soon. Anyways here are a few pics of the family:

Playing Catch Up: Week 9... almost 10

Wow! Things have felt really crazy this past week! I STILL have a few presents to buy... ugh and Christmas is in two days!!! When I'm not working, I am so tired that I dream of laying in my bed... which still has not happened. We are heading to Clovis this afternoon and I'm really excited! Its my first christmas away from my family, and I know it will feel weird, but I am also excited because I love Corey's family so much! I have felt really pregnant this past week! I am so unbelievably tired and my belly feels really bloated. In the morning I don't feel like I look pregnant and then by the time I go to sleep, my belly looks like a kid from ethiopia!

I'm kind of confused on how the whole counting weeks goes. On thebump.com, it says I am already ten weeks, but on everthing else it says nine and a half. Either way, we go for our first trimester screening apt on Jan 8 and they will give us exact time for how far along we are. So the baby is somewhere between an olive and a prune:

It's really crazy to think we will have a little one for christmas next year! A six month old! I am so excited! Corey thinks it a girl now so we'll have to see! A healthy baby is all we pray for!

Pregnancy thoughts...

So far I absolutely LOVE being pregnant! I am having so much fun thinking about this little tiny thing growing in my tummy! I already feel responsible for this little one knowing that everything I eat, he/she eats, every breathe I take gives him/her some oxygen, and everywhere I go he/she gets to go with me in every second of my day! I really feel like it is a boy, but everyone keeps telling me its probably a girl because I feel really ugly and girls are supposed to "take beauty from thier mammas!" Who knows. I feel like Shelby looked prettier when she was pregnant with Kenny.  But one thing I am going to do is stop posting random things on facebook because I'm tired of hearing weird advice that makes me believe weird things that I don't think are true! Its my fault for putting it out there, but I am really tired of hearing advice and stories of pregnancy!

Anyways... I feel like I have really been on top of the world since November 13. Being the super planner I am, I have already picked out bedding sets and room decorations for if it is either a girl or boy. I have been having a really hard time with boys, and when I finally found a few I showed Corey and he was like, "I don't like any of those. They all look girly." Which I totally agree with... but we finally picked one. We'll have to do some mixing and matching, but I really like the one we picked. Names are going about the same. Girl- we have it for sure. Boy- we have about a million. That's another reason everyone says we are having a girl. I don't mind either way, except I really feel like its a boy so I'm confused!

Corey is the cutest husband/future daddy ever and his excitement for this baby is the most exciting thing ever! He cannot wait to be a daddy and I know he is going to be so great! He's being really good about my random mood swings right now too (which are totally unavoidable and thankfully not as often as I thought they would be). He is the one that is acting pregnant though! He has cravings CONSTANTLY and has been just as tired as me at 8 pm.

In the meantime, I have been trying to workout everyday and stay fit. I had slowed down on running when I found out I was pregnant because I was nervous and now I wish I never would have because I tried running last week and it was soooo hard!!! But I'm working on it! I'm doing spin class and trying to work up to 3 miles a day again. My sister said Gabrielle Reese was a really fit pregnant woman. So I googled her and found out she made some DVDs about pregnancy and working out. I found this picture of her:

Hopefully I can stay in good shape and have a healthy delivery and get back to my normal jeans fast. Scratch that... hopefully I won't have to move out of my jeans and stay healthy! That's my goal. Not saying I will be able to button them, but hopefully still get to wear them. Plus, we are going to Georgia in September (the baby will be exactly two months) and we are staying on the beach so my body better be lookin decent!!

Fried rice, Oreos, and Lox Bagels...

So before I got pregnant, I researched everything from cravings to morning sickness and how to avoid all things terrible during pregnancy.  I thought maybe I'd be different and master pregnancy. So far I have done really well at keeping my hunger down and not eating any more than I was but just more often to avoid the sudden starvation that pregnancy seems to do. I also try to eat a little protein every time I get dizzy which really works.  One thing I read was that cravings are usually when your body is needing something that is in that food. Well how can you explain double stuffed Oreos? Or fried rice? Maybe a salmon bagel I can understand.

We went to Wal-mart the other night and I swear I HAD TO HAVE OREOS. Like the most intense "have to" I have ever had! I called my mom and of coarse she gave the best motherly advice ever an said, "If that baby wants oreos you give it to that baby now!" So I let myself have five one night and three the next and thankfully my family ate the rest :) Then yesterday I NEEDED to have fried rice and a lox bagel ASAP. That is all I think about until I get it! I resisted until today but got a bagel this morning and for some reason the fried rice craving went away with it... weird. Maybe I did need something from both. Either way, I am not superwomen at pregnancy than I thought I would be!

By the way, baby bell is the size of a raspberry this week (well for a few more days)!

Strong Heartbeat!

So today marks 8 weeks for our little peanut! We had our first apt with our new OB and it went really well! We love out doctor. She is very thorough and went through EVERYTHING with us with out us having to ask. It was really  helpful since there are so many things we don't know and so many things that are always changing. Then she surprised us with giving us an ultrasound! When she told us I got tears in my eyes already! When went back and she informed us that her machine was a little old, but she would still be able to make sure it was healthy! So she pulled it up and right away you could see its little heart beat! We were so excited!!! Corey jumped up and kissed me right away!

On January 8th we will have our first trimester screening (at twelve weeks) and they will take in-depth measurements and give us a more exact due date. As of right now, it is still July 24th. Right now he's the size of a raspberry and already so dang cute! God is sooo good!

JUST A WARNING: I am still getting used to this blog thing! Since I just changed my background, I have made my blog look REALLY shabby because of my earlier blog mess ups! Ugh... so don't pay attention to the weird highlighting! Thanks!

Week 6: Such a Sweet Pea!

So you are the size of a pea this week!

According to Babycenter (thanks to Kayla for that!) this is how our little is growing:
This week's major developments: The nose, mouth, and ears that you'll spend so much time kissing in eight months are beginning to take shape. If you could see into your uterus, you'd find an oversize head and dark spots where your baby's eyes and nostrils are starting to form. His emerging ears are marked by small depressions on the sides of the head, and his arms and legs by protruding buds. His heart is beating about 100 to 160 times a minute — almost twice as fast as yours — and blood is beginning to course through his body. His intestines are developing, and the bud of tissue that will give rise to his lungs has appeared. His pituitary gland is forming, as are the rest of his brain, muscles, and bones. Right now, your baby is a quarter of an inch long, about the size of a lentil bean.
And this is how it look in my tummy:

Pretty crazy!! We are so excited! We have started telling people because I'm pretty sure anyone who has talked to Corey and all of Clovis knows! Which is fine because I know everything will be fine. I just really want to see its heart beat to be totally sure! December 11th is our first official apt with our new OB and hopefully I will feel a lot better about everything!
As of now, I feel really good still! I have heard that week seven is when people usually get sick so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'm not one of those people! The only thing that I can obviously feel is my EXTREME tiredness and my continuous, rediculous bathroom trips! Holy cow, I had no idea that happened so early!
Well I'll leave you with Corey's names he has picked out for our little sweet pea:
Boy: D'Brickeshaw Noshawn Makushka Bell
Girl: D'Brickeshante Noshawna Makushaka Bell
Don't worry! I'll keep him for the birth certificate!
